So, I haven't posted anything on here since February! Wow! What immense changes have occurred since then. Alexa Johnson Photography has gone through such a wonderful growth since last year. First of all as you might have noticed, our logo has had some what of a makeover. This actually came accidentally. I was making a new postcard for this summer season and unfortunately my usual square logo wouldn't fit or even look right on the postcard, so I took my logo design and simply made it round with a little border accent on the edge and simple lettering. I came to really admire this logo even more than my original and so it came to be! I decided to just use this emblem on my photographs and I really think its been working out wonderfully! Sometimes the best things work out all on their own and by complete accident!
So another summer is closing in here on Cape. All the children and teenagers and college students are returning to their educational duties and tourists are filtering out. Maybe except for those who know that once most of the tourists filter out, that is the best time to be here and enjoy our wonderful scenery :) hehe. So its always this time of year I tend to reflect on what I have accomplished. I am starting to make fall and winter marketing ideas and thinking about the winter ahead. I think this year Alexa Johnson Photography as a business has taken tremendous strides, I think I have grown as a photographer and my business has expanded. I have reviewed past work and I am my own hardest critic, but I do think my work has evolved. I think my work will always continue to develop and change. There have been risks, some I've taken some I haven't, some worked some didn't. Alexa Johnson Photography isn't just about me either, if I have photographed you, you probably already know my Fiancé Jon helps me out with many of my sessions, so we work together. A.J.P. wouldn't be what it is without his support and help.
So all in all I think its been a wonderful year and its not even through yet! I am looking forward to finishing up the senior portrait season (my favorite season) and preparing for next years wedding season! Lots of work to do always, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
