So I think most people, in their decided profession or career or even in a hobby, have that one, or maybe a few individuals who are so inspiring to them! I know I have a few inspirational figures. I look at their work and think to myself "If I could only get my work to look like that!"
Its funny when you actually do some research and learn more about these figures because often times they aren't as glamorously talented as you may think. Often times these successors are simply driven, hardworking, fine examples of the life we all wish to lead. Sometimes we also find out that it is actually something debilitating in their lives that forces them to not accept failure as an option.
I have admired one photographer in particular for some time now and I will keep her anonymous for her privacy. I just learned in reading her blog that not only does she do all that she does with a busy stressful schedule full with homeschooling her three children, but she suffers from a life altering illness that severely limits her activities.
I have a more profound respect for her now not only as an amazing photographer but as someone still doing what they love and putting their all into in amidst all she goes through! Its people like this that make me think, If they can do it, what is stopping me.
We all know in the trying world we live in today its hard to think that we can comfortably go after our dreams and live a happy fulfilled life. I am newly engaged and trying to plan a wedding while thinking of moving and working on my ever-growing business is a full time commitment! Sometimes when thinking of having children someday and all that comes with the life I am dreaming of, I get a little anxious!
All in all, I believe that we are what we want to be. Someone very special to my heart once said "Life is what you make it Alexa" and I couldn't agree with her more! So today with this new found inspiration and determination, I am going to fully strive to go for the life I am dreaming of and not think twice about the obstacles I may face to get there!
Thanks for following :) -Alexa-
